Hour Story Time

Since its launch in 2022, Hour Story Time has seen remarkable growth, using literacy as a tool to strengthen reading comprehension, critical thinking, and self-expression among students in Prince George's County, MD our team's city (recently, Portland, OR).

Through the "Write the Power" essay contest, students are encouraged to reflect on what they read and articulate their perspectives with confidence and clarity. This program increases student engagement, supports literacy and critical thinking development, and amplifies diverse voices in literature.
